TRIP TO THE BLACK COUNTRY LIVING MUSEUM

Leaving Fairford Church at 9:00am on Tuesday 11th June 2024
Return leaving the Museum at 4:45pm

Cost £36 per person

The museum is near Dudley where there are opportunities to ride on a heritage vehicle, have a 1912 school lesson, head underground as an 1850s miner, tour the Boat Duck, costume characters, two pubs, old fashioned street games, 1950s record shop and confectioners, live industrial demonstrations and a real treat 1930s Fish and Chips.

Explore houses including two semi detached Cast Iron Houses and visit the High Street from the 1940s and 50s. There are plenty of places to eat traditional food. We visited the Museum a few years ago and it is highly recommended for a good day out.

Meet at 9 a.m. At Fairford Church.

To book your place please detach form from the newsletter or use the link below to print out the form and pay either at the monthly general meeting to Sue or in the U3A box in the Community Centre. Non-members are welcome
