There are several stages in creating a new WordPress website.

1. For WordPress source code – goto https://wordpress.org/download/
2. Download source code and save locally.
3. Extract code to a local directory.
4. Using Filezilla create new directory on the host server.
5. Using Filezilla copy extracted code to the new directory.
6. Login to IONOS and create a subdomain name using fairfordu3a.uk as the main domain.
7. Link this subdomain name to the new directory where the WordPress sources are on the host.
8. Create a new database and save all relevant login details – these will be needed to populate the database when WordPress initializes.
9. Using the new subdomain, access the new WordPress website and follow the online instructions.
10. Hopefully you will now have a new WordPress website!
